How it works
The AI Chat Designer takes a natural-language brief and returns a 3D design project, not a flat illustration: front, back, and side views of a garment built from an editable design tree of named parts.
The quality of the first result depends on specificity. A brief that states garment type, fit, fabric weight, color, and one or two construction details produces a closer starting point than a one-word prompt.
Editing by part
Generated garments are broken into a design tree of components — hood, sleeve, pocket, logo, sole, and similar parts depending on the garment. Selecting a single part and describing a change edits only that part, leaving the rest of the design tree, materials, and fit untouched.
- Select a part in the design tree before typing an edit instruction.
- Keep edits to one concern at a time (e.g. hood construction, not hood plus sleeve plus color).
- Use versions to branch or revert instead of overwriting a design you may want back.
Handing off to production tools
A design generated here becomes the input to every downstream module: the fabric assigned in the fabric library drives cloth simulation, the finished silhouette is flattened into 2D patterns, and the design tree's part names carry through into tech pack construction notes.
